Shattered in Him (Her blog includes very inspiring posts that I recommend to those of you who are reading this.) nominated me for this and I accepted the challenge, because (a selfish reason first) it’s the first time I was every nominated for anything with my blog and it’s exciting! J I also decided to follow through with it (a more mature response here) because I sincerely appreciate the people who faithfully read my blog and I’d like to encourage others to check out some interesting blogs I have found along the way.
- Write a post to show your award.
- Give a brief story of how your blog started.
- Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
- Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
- Select other blogs you want to give the award to.
A brief history of how my blog started:
I explain part of this in the “About” section of my blog, but a brief overview would be that I started my blog to have a platform where I could write, while also sharing real stories of interactions I have with other people (especially those from different backgrounds than mine). I’m a strong believer that we are far more similar than we are different, and that we can utilize all of our strengths to make this world a better place. It’s just a matter of us being willing to take that adventure together.
Advice to new bloggers:
Create interactions between your readers. Be open and responsive and you will see growth. Have a focus for your reason for blogging and stick to it, even when you feel discouraged. Lastly, remember that you might never know how deeply one of your posts impacted the life of another human being. Let that always serve as encouragement!
Nominees, in no particular order:
Even if the following bloggers have taken this challenge or prefer not to, I am putting them here because they have blogs that I have enjoyed reading and I truly believe others will as well. There is an assortment of styles/topics, so hopefully you will see one that sticks out to you as well! Happy reading!
Thank you to all of the dedicated readers, and also to the people who are only able to pop over to Ahmeli once in a while. Your time is truly valued!
